We are so excited to introduce our new incredible Icelandic bit member of the FAGER family, designed and developed together with Sabina Swärd.
”I was looking for a competition bit for me and my students that provides a precise connection to the horse. The bit should be soft in the mouth and comfortable to handle. I used to compete on a baby Pelham, but many of my students pointed out that the double reins can be complicated to ride with. Together with Fager bits, we were able to develop a bit with really short shanks that are used with single reins. We also decided on a titanium mouthpiece that my horses enjoy. The lightness of the titanium stops them from being heavy on the hand.
I hope that this bit will help people to get the smooth ride they are looking for.”
Ergonomic and comfortable, lightweight Icelandic bit.
Side-ring tubes are shaped to prevent pinching the horse, and improving the riders signals. The chain can be detached in both sides and divides the pressure between poll, jaw, and mouth.
Titanium is very light and has a lower thermal capacity, which ensures better comfort for the horse, especially in cold weather. The lower weight helps the horse focus on the signals from the rider, instead of on the bit itself.
Sabina has the shortest shanks for an Icelandic bit on the market.
This bit reminds of a Baby Pelham, but you are allowed to compete with only one set of reins.
Excellent for riders that want a bit that provides a more clear signal than a snaffle.
Titanium has several advantages:
- Antibacterial and Biocompatible material.
- Superior strength and extremely lightweight in the mouth.
- Increases saliva, warm to the touch and encourages acceptance.
- Non-toxic and hypoallergenic.
- Low maintenance, easy to clean.
